C++ Training Session

26/01/2015 C++ Training Session

A training session in C++ was organized in Nantes from January 12 to 15, 2015.

C++ is a powerful programming language that allows advanced parallelization features, making it a language of choice for modelers around the world. This training will allow the modelers of the MIHMES project (MODEC team) to customize existing tools according to their needs, to write their own code adapted to simulation and inference, and to fully participate in collaborative modeling projects in which C++ development is an essential prerequisite for the analysis concerned.

This training consists of an extensive introductory course on a wide range of snippets, libraries and strategies considered relevant to epidemiological modeling. This introduction is followed by numerous in-depth exercises to turn new concepts into skills, through the development of functions inspired by the models used in animal epidemiology.

This initial training was provided by Jean-Michel Richer, lecturer at the University of Angers.
