Reconciling greening and livestock competitiveness

Reconciling greening and livestock competitiveness

Responses to the expectations of players in the livestock sector, consumers and citizens are already being built or tested... through research work conducted by the centre as well as with the setting up of Ouest Territoires d'Elevage and the debates at the SPACE exhibition from 12 to 15 September 2017.

Reducing the use of antibiotics and antiparasitics in animal husbandry is feasible!

Work to help professionals achieve the objectives of the EcoAntibio2017 plan or to go further towards "zero antibiotic" products is carried out in particular by the UMR Inra-Oniris BIOEPAR, but also by other teams from the Institute and its partners.
In particular, the approaches of scientists from Nantes have already helped to establish the feasibility and the absence of loss of profitability in reducing the use of antibiotics and antiparasitic drugs.
