• Research Skills: 

My work is multidisciplinary and is based on a large range of subjects such as plant physiology, genetics, phytopathology (Venturia pirina), entomology (Psylla piri), and plant breeding (pear) for the traits lateness and resistance to bioagressors. The ultimate objective of our work is the creation of new varieties.

This requires multiple competences.

1. Expertise in pomology and agronomy of pear (pollination, architectural evaluation,…).
2. Design and accomplishment of tests with bioagressors (apple scab, fire blight, psylla) in the greenhouse, inoculation, evaluation, and synthesis of observations, and reporting to scientists in charge.
3. Sensory evaluation of fruit quality, selection of the most promising lines for level 1.
